An Amazing Toy!
Today, my kids surprised me with a Teacher Appreciation Week gift that directly pertained to my aspirations in educational technology. Coincidentally, I was looking into buying small video recorder to start video casting with my class. After an inspired conversation that left me wondering how I could ever find the time to convert MiniDV files over and then upload them... the students must have read my mind.
Added bonus: they each put a little video of themselves on the recorder saying something "appreciative" and adorable. I feel so loved.

Yea Laura, that camera is awesome!! Congrats! I hope you get a chance to
use it in class, and not only for personal use. I wonder if it can be used
as a webcam for skype? That would be cool, if you could record a skype
conversation with it....oh the possibilities.
